The DfES classroom of the future initiative has brought about a number of different responses, both from educational
establishments as well as architects, designers and suppliers themselves. Flipscreen, from Isis, has found a natural home
in this work.
In some instances, classrooms of the future can, and have been little more than ethereal blue-sky thinking. In others,
a classroom of the future has been created that challenges conventional thinking about how children should learn. At Isis,
whilst we see the classroom of the future initiative as a challenge, we have found it to be a challenge which we can
fulfil.
Inspired by the many educationalists to whom we have spoken who consider the DfES classroom of the future programme,
and the exemplary designs of schools for the future, not to be relevant to their own schools, Flipscreen classrooms for
the future demonstrate how we see teaching spaces being designed and equipped to meet the demands of tomorrow, today.
Accommodating different pedagogies, Flipscreen helps e-confident schools support ISPs for all students. Makes you
think .. doesn't it?
